BSG desperation...

This is me begging, pleading, down on my knees - I'm in search of just about anything Kara/Lee. BSG is my new crack (or possibly it is better likened to heroin?) and they are my new OTP. If I have trouble deciding between an icon saying OTP or BFF (best friends forever) then I'm completely sold. Love love love love love love love... and need fic and vids.

(especially because I just did a naughty thing and watched both ep 2x15 "Scar" and the last three minutes of "Lay Down Your Burdens, Part 2" with the season 3 trailer on Skiffy's Pulse. (Since I've only watched the Miniseries and eps 1x01 - 1x11 right now, needless to say I was a little traumatized.) And I think I kinda hate Anders. Haven't actually met him, but again, I watched "Scar" and was like "whimper?")

This show is gonna fucking break my heart into a million tiny peices isn't it?

I'm gonna go w/ relationshipwise and not individually here, although of course the individuality has to come in some places and it's kind of killing me to spoil you because most of it is SO good partly b/c u don't know it's coming.

But anyway! BSG S2!

Kara and Lee fight over her frakking Baltar, Kara does what she always does and is reckless and runs away to redeem herself by doing something spectacular, Caprica Caprica Caprica Anders Caprica, we get some nice history on her dad here and a bunch of stuff meanwhile Lee has a NoGoodAllBadReallyTerribleDay back on Galactica and commits MUTINY w/ the president and half the fleet. Kara gets the Arrow of Apollo (and we all made jokes on how she really didn't need to go back to Caprica for that incessantly) and jumps back to where the fleet was and Lee welcomes her back with open arms and a KISS that surprises the hell out of our Lt. Thrace as he does it in the middle of the hangar bay in front of the president, but they do what they do best and brush it off. Later Lee tries to get her to talk about what went down on Caprica and lets her know that "I'm your friend, and I love you" and Kara brushes off the offer to talk but teases him about loving her and he blushes and is all "You know what I mean" and she just GRINS and is all "No! You love me! No take backs" and he runs away and she just kinda stands there and GRINS a silly little grin. The fleet is reunited, and we get some nice LK being friends in Final Cut (where we also get Lee in only a towel for a good 3 minutes solid!), then they meet up with Pegasus which is another Battlestar run by a woman who makes Crais, Scorpy and Grayza look like happy well adjusted people and aside from being a dictator and of course Kara and Lee get transferred to her ship. Lee goes out on a stealth mission to blow up a basestar and his ship gets blown up around him, when he comes back from his spacewalk he's depressed and confesses to Kara that he wished he hadn't made it back. Then we get Scar a few epis later, which you've seen, so I don't need to summarize, then a bunch of stuff happens individually, Lee is there when the Cloud 9 bar is taken hostage by Cylon supporters in the fleet and Kara is sent in to observe the situation, but being Kara she pulls a gun and there's a fight and she accidentally shoots Lee, which does nothing for their strained relationship at the time. Next Epi Lee is sent over to teh Pegasus as the XO and before he leaves Kara goes to say goodbye and actually tries to talk to him here she asks if they're okay re: the shooting and everything and Lee teases her a bit and then hugs her and says they're okay. The next KL interaction we get is in LDYB1 and 2 and it's not good, Kara's happy and doesn't realize she's hurting Lee by acting like she doesn't care for him in that way or maybe she just doesn't realize what she's doing and that's it. S2 ends w/ K&L not on the best of terms, their relationship is extremely strained and they're separated when the Cylons return. Hope that wasn't hugely spoilery and just spoilery enough :)

No, actually, that was just about perfect. See, usually? I love being spoiler free girl. But (especially when I come into something mid-story) it's almost impossible to avoid at least some of the spoilers and still be able to read fic and vids and such, and once I know a little bit, especially when I'm trying to sort out fannon and cannon it just makes me crazy. I actually feel a little bit *better* about things after having seen the new trailer for season 3 though. It makes me more hopeful than the first one I'd seen on Scifi Pulse. But I'm horribly, horribly (perhaps most of all) disturbed by the "wedding tattoos" I've seen mentioned... I'm not sure if it's just that they exist, or if it's that they're *wings* and she doesn't have any business flying with anyone else. Even figuratively. (I'm apparently going into uber territorial mode. Sigh. Didn't help that I stumbled on Wisteria's fic. Shouldn't have read it. Really, really shouldn't have.)

Btw, did they actually say on the show how long they've know each other, or are all the backstory stories rampant fannon?

Rampant fanon! We know they knew each other, and I'm pretty sure they knew each other before Zak died (but I"m not entirely sure where they say that) and that's about it.

I read about the wedding tattoos in a fic somewhere, and that was the only place I saw it, I've been staying spoiler free though so I don't know if it's just the fans going nuts or what. But if it's true I don't want her to have Wings with Anders DAMNIT! They don't fly together and they never will and it's not allowed! Grrrrr!

Wisteria writes good fic as does Meyerlemon and Banthafodder (off the top of my head) and for the non Lee/Kara stuff there is this AWESOME AU Dee/Gaeta fic by Poisontaster that is just KILLING me (it's a WIP and she's been hijacked by the supernatural fandom so who knows when we'll get more! *whimper*)
