First, and please keep in mind that I do this with a great deal of trepidation,

The first 10 people to comment on this post get to request a drabble on a subject/character of their choosing from me. In return, they have to post this in their journal.

Fandoms within which I have muses (or have ever *had* muses) are as follows (and I'm not trying to be persnickety guys - the stuff I'm excepting here I simply haven't seen):
X-Files (a tiny little slice of it, anyway - and particularly Wintersong's AU world of "Lost", "Found" and "Alphas")
Buffy (seasons 1-3)
Roswell
Farscape (anything season 1-3)
LotR MOVIEVERSE, and no LoTRips
Harry Potter
Doctor Who Circa 9-10. ::cuddles her new lovely::
Lost (Season 1 only)
Witchblade (Season 1)
Charmed (Seasons1-4)
X-Men
Anita Blake
Eve Dallas

In other news:

my car is dead. There was a wreck, and she didn't survive. :(

my hours at work are very sparse - I can't decide if it's a good thing or a bad thing. Good in that I have to spend less time there. Bad in that it's less pay.

Dr. Who is my new crack. Blame [livejournal.com profile] black_magdalene.

The DaVinci Quest on Google is my other new crack. Love it. Want to win a replica cryptex, damn it.

My birthday is in 3 days. My family has all chipped in to get me an ipod. I have to decide what to name said ipod. (I'm currently leaning towards Rose. I'm a fangirl. Shut up.)

If anyone were to be curious as to what to get me for said birthday, ipod-type accessories (fm receiver, fm transmitter, etc. etc. etc.) (except for those knitted sock-let things, cause I can make those) would be welcome - as would La Femme Nikita DVDs. Or whatever really. I'm not really interested in getting music off of Itunes though, because their proprietary format sucks.

(I'm amused that I can spell "proprietary" correctly, but not "receive" or "different".)

Imps or bottles from Black Phoenix Alchemy Labs wouldn't go amiss either. ;)

We're still trying to move. We have until the end of June... I'm not sure we're going to get it done the way we want to. I don't *WANT* to live with boxes stacked to the ceiling anymore... but I'm also too damn depressed and tired to do anything other than.

:(

Well, off to go see if I can find some Doctor Who vids...

OT3 anyone? ;)

PS - LJ paid time wouldn't be turned down... ::blatant hint... hint... hint...::

Insert vague-rambly-type update here:

first, the car: Has been given to the body-shop people, who state that, if the part comes in on time, car should be done by sometime wednesday. Which means that that's the earliest I can take it over to Randal to get him to look at the emergency flashers/battery drain issue. So I should get home no *earlier* than Thursday, but I have no real idea how accurate that is. :( I miss my Brian. Especially since I'm rereading all the "Death" novels, which of course brings me to point 2...

"... in Death" by JD Robb is crack. Not to be read while having major anxiety issues, as there is all sorts of heavy psychological shit for both the main characters and involved in the homicides Eve investigates, but otherwise lovely lovely lovely stuff. This is my second time through most of these novels, and the first time I've read the middle chunk of them altogether rather than spaced about 6 months apart like when they came out. She publishes about 2 a year (with the occasional bonus novella in an anthology every 3 or 4 years) and even though there are over 20 books in the series (yep, they've been out since the mid-nineties) the books have spanned just over 2 years "book-time". Maybe close to three. But it's a completely different take and makes more sense in terms of character development to get it all crammed together like that, because it's much closer to what it's like for Eve and Roarke and the gang. And I want to make soundtracks for this, because of point 3...

[livejournal.com profile] fandomsounds, [livejournal.com profile] fanmix, and [livejournal.com profile] fst. (Also [livejournal.com profile] dhr_soundtrack). They're lj comms that do fandom soundtracks. Lots of Lost, HP, and such, as well as some manga/anime. But well worth checking out, and I can't wait to get home to my CD/Music collection so I can play. ::Pouts::

Finally? New cross-stitch project, cause I can't afford new projects and here I have access to all my mom's fabric, thread, and books, so I get a "kit" for free. I can't seem to find an online photo, so I can't show it off for now. It's the Endangered Young'uns "Golden Lion Tamarins" though.
