cybermathwitchyou write something, and then when you go back and you reread it, sometimes it sucks, and sometimes you're kind of amazed that *you* actually did that? Totally having the second moment there. I was reading back over last night's contribution to my NaNoWriMo, and it's surprisingly good. ::blinks:: how the hell did *that* happen?
Things That I'm Thankful For:
1. My awesome, wonderful, absolutely-my-perfect-match husband. And especially the fact that he loves me as much as I love him. It's good to be loved.
2. My blood family.
3. My chosen family.
4. Knitting and all it's variety and intricacies.
5. the Holidays
6. a good job that usually doesn't suck too hard, even though I complain a lot. I know it could be a million, billion times worse.
7. Best friends that I can flirt and play with.
8. Friends who take me to go see the NCO. ;)
9. Food, and having plenty of it.
10. My Gods, and how good they are to me (for details, well, you're reading this list, right?)
11. Modern medicine, which lets me function as a (mostly) normal human being
12. Music
13. Art
14. Language
15. NaNoWriMo!
16. My favorite stories (books, movies, tv, etc.)
17. Modern plumbing
18. All of our (community's) wonderful, brilliant, odd-ball children (and I mean that in the good way - if they were "normal" they'd be boring and I'd be worried.)
19. A community that's open and accepting enough that these kids won't be growing up with the same hang-ups that some of us did. (They'll get whole shiny new ones, but that's life.) They get to learn how to be who and what they want to be, and what that means.
20. A car that works
21. The online age (email, blogs, forums, websites, fandom, etc.)
--- all the things I'm sure I've forgotten.
Yes, the holidays make me happy, giddy, affectionate and hyper. Now, to temper some of that, I really should go have more turkey. And honey-baked ham. Oooo, and rolls, and cranberry sauce and dressing, and - oh, is that pumpkin pie? Tea punch... ::wanders off::
