I have a question

for everyone who went to VVC this year.

How much (on average) was it? (I'm thinking for two people.) Room, avg food, reg, and air fare? (I would be coming from Nashville.)

I'm going to do this. But to do this, I have to start planning now, as I am also getting married in October of 2007. (Gah! Totally not freaked out about *being* married to him - am totally freaked out about planning/getting married.) So, I need average cost so I know how much to save.

I got to go home early today, so my weekend starts, oh, now-ish. (As I have Thursday and Friday off and have to work Sat-Wed. next week.) I'm gonna find food, then spend a few hours writing, I think. Or possibly making icons. (Or looking for vid or graphics software. I'm keeping my options open. ::g::)

Is it my Kara!Muse, or my Aeryn!Muse? Because both are currently AWOL. Aeryn you can keep for awhile (as long as you don't break her, but she's durable) but I need Kara back oh, days ago.

... and if you happen to see a Lee!Muse, Leoben!Muse, or a resigned Anders!Muse, please shoo them my way.

You can have my Six!Muse though. Please. Take her. I don't need her for any story I'm conceivably working on right now. And she's making Harvey!Kara sound wrong.

Yeah, but this is a new muse I've not encountered before. I'm thinking of Kyle XY slash fanfic. O.o

I've even been tempted to pick up my old Oz/Xander series and see about revising it. I don't watch enough shows to have many fanfics yet.

Which four people in the room, my portion of the room cost for Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday night was $114. Registration is, I think, $70. Food is variable - there aren't many food places nearby, actually. There's an itty-bitty pizza/pasta place, a Thai place, an the Outback attached to the hotel - you can buy a lunch ticket for Saturday lunch, and there are appetizers before Club Vivid that I generally just use for my dinner that night, so. Whatever you want to spend, really. There's also a fairly close grocery store, and the hotel is a suite, complete with microwave and mini-fridge.

Air fare is so variable that I have no idea what it'll be doing this time next year, so.

hmm... so, for two people (does math in her head) $228 for the room, $140 to reg, which is $368. Plus food and airfare. Which is right about at what I figured it was gonna be. I 'spose one could drive between nashville and chicago, but depending on what oil prices do, gas might or might not be any cheaper than flying.

::really, really wants to go to a con.:: I miss fandom. :(
