Claudia Black (Farscape) joins the regular cast of SCI FI Channel's original series Stargate SG-1 in its upcoming 10th season ... Black, who plays the recurring role of Vala in SG-1's current ninth season, becomes a regular, joining stars Ben Browder, Amanda Tapping, Christopher Judge, Michael Shanks and Beau Bridges, who will all return.

In other news, I got a "conditional" job offer from Holland (the company that does sub-teaching here in Rutherford, *not* the country, kthnx) to do substitute teaching - which means that they hired me assuming my background/references check out. Etc, etc. I have "orientation" next week on Wednesday, so hopefully I can both get back on insurance and get *some* money coming in before the holidays. I put down the middle and high schools in Lavergne and Murfreesboro - I can always go back and add the rest of the county if I need to later, if I'm not getting called enough. But I may need to purchase a map. It's only around 50$ a day, but that's a hell of a lot better than nothing.
For the moment,korens_puppy (remind me to thump him for that username again, will you? Sigh.) is "on call" for third shift at waffle house according to his manager. They haven't *actually* called him. (Well, his friend (not the manager) that works there and was a bit swamped called last Friday afternoon while we were in Nashville, but, well, we were in Nashville. Headdesk.) He's going to put in an application at Hobby Lobby this week. Wish him luck?
I'll be in Dickson this evening through Friday/Saturday (depends on if we're playing D&D on Friday?) for the holidays, but I should still be online and of course I'll have my phone.
And my very first Black Phoenix order was apparently recieved in the M'Boro post office-center this morning... I'm gonna try and hang out a bit until the mail runs here if I can in hopes of recieving it.
