Anniversary...

So, I realized a couple weeks ago that Brian and I've been dating for five months.

Yeah. Wow.

So we're going to dinner tonight - my idea, and I've been trying really hard not to be too pushy? Read/think too much into it? Imply something that may or may not be a mutual idea?

I think I should stop worrying about that already. I got home from helping Christi w/ moving (I sorted books and dishes... that's about my forte) and proceeded to crash onto the couch to recoup before going out. Brian, who was playing video games, said that we needed to go by his house first because he needed to change and get dress clothes. I blinked at him and went "dress clothes?"

His response: (paraphrased) "It's an anniversary, right? I'm going to dress up - at least as much as I ever do" (translation - dressy casual, but I'm *all* ok w/ that.)

God I'm in love with him.

Awwww! My brother willingly dressed up for an anniversary dinner! He can be really super cool sometimes, I must remind myself of this.

As said inspectee's little sister, I am torn between trying to convince you that my brother is a foul ne'erdowell unworthy of any womans attentions and trying to convince you that I my brother *will* pass the inspection or else. Ah, the joys of siblingdom.

I think that that sounds like a *DEFINITE* plan - I have this sneaking suspicion the two of you will get along fantastically.

Something really funny that reminded me of you the other night - he looked at me at one point and said something about me being interested (at least a little) in history and he had a song I needed to hear - and proceeded to start trying to tell me about "Istanbul". I stopped him and was like "I know. I've heard it. I can recite most of it by heart. I can recite most of "Flood" by heart - we used to sing it acapella on the band bus."
