Wow. Oh wow oh wow oh wow. And while I'm at it, Ow!

Oh my gods. I spent the entire ep screaming who the frell did Aeryn have sex with on Talyn besides John... I'm *SO* relieved it's either John or Velorek. And not so much because I don't see Aeryn with either Crais or Stark, but more because they tried to make it abundantly clear that that *hadn't* happened with that little scene in "The Choice" and I didn't want to see them suddenly shifting gears on us like that. Cause there's surprise and then there's complete disregard for the storyline, and they're usually not that guilty of the later. (And yes, that's how I'm interpreting that lovely little "four years before" reference - as a reference to Velorek.) So here's the big question now (ok, two really): first, do you find out that you're carrying a viable embryo (ie that you're "pregnant") and *then* get it activated, or do you find out when you try to get it activated. In other words, Aeryn said that she found out on the command carrier, but did she mean that she got it activated there or not? Which leads almost directly to question two. Was Scorpy the one who activated it? Because that could explain his comment to John when he said that he didn't "harm" Aeryn rather than agreeing that he'd done nothing to her.

Other than that, I loved the banter and lines back and forth, loved the development between Aeryn and Chi, love Siko even if she's picked a dangerous idol to worship - and I frelling can't believe they picked D'Argo. Except that it also happens to make sense. Rygel obviously voted for himself, Siko voted for Scorpy, Roy (the old woman)voted for the "divine eternal", and one might assume that Pilot or Aeryn voted for Aeryn? (I'm betting on Pilot, actually.) So that means that John, Chi, D'Argo, and Aeryn (or Pilot) voted for D. Yeah, ok, I can see that working, but it still doesn't mean I have to like it. I wanted it to be Aeryn, dammit. Oh well.

And for the record, while I'm pleasantly surprised that in this instance I'm *not* right about the baby-scenario, I'm also not against the idea. This show has made so many other things work that I have faith that they'll make this one work too. This was an outstanding ep all around, with the dialogue we've come to love, the action we dig, and the emotional closure (or at least progression) that we've come to crave.

I'm gonna make separate posts for my Witchblade and preview responses so that someone that doesn't want to spoiled won't be accidentally.
