Hiya.
Life is insane. Just thought I'd mention that one...
I'm officially throwing my hat into the NaNoWriMo ring. ::tosses crazy-colored knit hat:: (I hope I get it back)
Go here to read the beginnings of my offering.
Ok, in other news, there's been an... interesting development in my usually non-existent personal life. Last weekend, my friends and I had our annual Halloween bash. One person (call her A) who was there IMed me today with some interesting information. See, this guy (call him B) who is a good friend of most of my friends (but who, due to him living elsewhere most of the time I've been around, I hadn't ever really met) was there, and apparently, he was at least mildly interested in me. A IMed me this afternoon to see whether or not I might be interested in possibly dating him. My response was essentially that I wouldn't really rule anyone out (because I've seen Chasing Amy, after all) but that aside from just getting to know him better platonically, I doubted whether it would go anywhere on account of he's a guy. But I told her to give him my email addy, so that he and I could talk about it.
I have *no* idea how to process this. Or rather, I really do, I think, in theory, but I haven't had any practical practice, at least with guys. In the past, the *few* guys I've been interested in I've been pretty good friends with, and even then, it never really worked out. Not romantically at least. But, like Cristin has her 3%, I have about a 7%, I suppose. So I'll definitely talk to the guy, if he contacts me, and I'm more than ok (at the moment at least) with hanging out as friends with him. Beyond that though...
(And did I mention that he's almost 10 years older than me? Which I know shouldn't be a bid deal anymore, and I don't guess it is, but it's still kind of "whoa".)
It *is* a huge ego boost though. Especially since she said that he was interested *after* I'd changed out of my costume (burgundy tank, short black (fake)leather mini, hose, and knee-high boots. I was Evil!Willow).
