A blanket update post

Various random things of note lately: 

- husband and I are moving in with my parents at the end of February.  I am so far very behind on this whole process (why should this surprise me?  It shouldn't, yet it does.)  This is going to be an interesting experience.
- GURPS is a MUCH better system than D&D.  Despite a couple of wobbles, the scifi campaign we just started it off to a great start.
- jessofthebugs and I (and kadollan , actually) did an impromptu Theogamia ritual Saturday night.  (Theogamia is essentially Zeus and Hera's wedding anniversary.)  I stopped and got a half sheet cake at Kroger (I'm sure they were confused by what I had them write on it) and we made a card and burned it in the fire pit and then ate the cake.  Next year we're going to try actually baking the cake ourselves and making dinner to go with it (etc.). 
- I have a SGA fic rattling around I need to work on.
- I'm not watching BSG right now, because I'm no where near caught up.
- I should totally have been in bed hours ago.  Sigh.

Moving in with the 'rents, eh? As Rachael and I are still living with hers (albeit now in an apartment space in what used to be the garage), I totally understand. Seems like the story of our generation, now. Still, sometimes it's fun.

Yeah, the actual moving part of moving is always a pain. Especially if one of the kitties isn't so big on travel...but you get through it.

And yeah, we're pretty set on August at this point. The format's still kind of up in the air; we may make the actual wedding very small, but just get everyone together for the party/reception thing. More details as we figure them out!

I made a little fire and burned the roses on Sunday. whee!
