ok, here's the thing. It's not that I think that they're into to girls too much (frankly, I think they're both bi... or at least have the potential to be - Ron *might* be in the Jim Ellison camp of God no, I'm straight - I just happened to fall in love with someone who happened to be a guy (Sentinel, if you're not familiar with it - I'm never sure who's in what fandoms)).
I think it's that they're really damn dense.
Hermione has the potential to smack them upside the head, metaphorically - there are some *very* obvious "why yes, yes she's a girl" things that one can play w/... and it's almost going to be expected that they'll consider her at some point. But I'm having trouble figuring out what will make them go "doh! Wait... maybe I like ::insert name here::"
Curiosity is good - but everything I've so far tried to have them curious about has come off sounding - well, it's not a good word for it, but kind of girly. Or maybe I'm being a little oversensitive to it all.
