Oct. 17th, 2002 12:59 amJust a quick update:
Bored silly, and I'm doing that really frustrating not a thing to do but no real free time either bit. How does that happen?
I've been off-line for almost a week now - tonight is the first time I've even looked at the computer, and it's my parents. Mine is in the upstairs hallway waiting for my room to be clean enough to move it in there. (IE, I have to find my desk first.)
I've found several fantastic fics - a Smallville series that's Clark/Lex/Chloe (which I'll get the name out for in a bit), a Harry Potter series that's Harry/Ron/Hermione, and *not* NC-17, but *is* beautiful, which I'll also link to soon for anyone who's interested, and a hopeful lead on some good XF fic. I've kinda missed good XF fic.
Just finished Robin Schone's Gabriel's Woman. It's - good, in a lot of ways. Really, really hot, but doesn't always make a lot of sense. I *think* (hope?) that that's because it's the second book in a series and I haven't read the first, but the writing can be a bit circuitous. It's even got slashy undertones though, so that's a plus. But some of the themes/imagery may not be suitable for all viewers, and it's definately NC-17, even though published books don't actually get ratings.
This weekend is packed with all sorts of fun - baby-sitting tomorrow night, movie night/slumber party-ish fun on Friday (with a huge helping of Firefly, yay!), crafter's day, seminar, and full moon on Saturday. Oh yeah, and class on Sunday morning. Yeesh. At least I don't have school this semester - I'd be overwhelmed. ;o) I love it all though. The Gathering is weekend after this one, and it looks like my ritual robe will actually get done before then. Cloak too! ::does the happy dance::
Oh, and I've discovered the wonders of making wire jewelry. It's an addiction.
