I Think I May Need Therapy...

I desperately, desperately want to write post-movie baby!fic to make everything better for Moose and Squirrel.  Like, really and a lot.  But not schmoopy-sappy baby!fic - more like Kara/Lee baby!fic that's sad and sweet but ultimately hopeful and so on and so forth.

I know it's improbable.  I know it's bordering on over-exerting suspension of disbelief and deus-ex-machina, but really?  They beat the odds once, right?  Why not again?

Huh, I'm not sure quite what to think. I love babyfic, a lot more than I probably should, but if they found out Scully was pregnant again? I think it might destroy her. That said, if you try it, especially marooned on tropical isle style, I'd like to see it.

Ok - what I'm thinking is this:

First, that she isn't expecting, trying ,or hoping for that kind of a miracle again. Second, that she's *so* far out of the mindset that she doesn't even realize that's what's going on - in fact it's Mulder that realizes... and it takes him several days of suspecting to get to the point of even mentioning it to her.

It has possibilities! I could definitely see Mulder noticing it before Scully, especially these days. I'm not sure how'd they take it and there are many ways for it to go badly, given that she's 43 and it's really not been a fun ride, but I'd like to see it.

ETA: In some ways, some of the fears could also be reduced too. CSM's no longer around and nobody's dead or abducted. (In short, doooooo iiiiiit. ;D)

Just to warn you, you're angling yourself into a beta-type position. ;)

Bring it on. ;)

I see absolutely nothing wrong with this idea! I would totes read it. I want Moose and Squirrel to be happy, too.
