(no subject)
Hi. Just thought I'd drop in and leave a quick little "what's going on" before I leave for the Samhain Gathering. I've finished making Chex mix for the trip, I'm packed (almost completely), and as soon as I eat *something* I'll be out the door. Really.
We're getting a hotel room this time, because Gret would rather not have pneumonia (I don't blame her) and I would rather not be falling asleep the whole time for lack of having my CPAP with me. Which is good too because of running water and hot showers and warm beds and such. (I have camped outside at both Mabon and Samhain, and let me tell you, the word "frozen" has a whole new meaning.)
Also, no Firefly for me until Monday (unless by some miracle we just happen to get there right when it starts and just stay in our room and wait to go to the site. Which is actually somewhat possible.) On the upside, I'm taking my tapes and hope to show them all to Gret when we get back Sunday night.
Oh, and Cristin (because I can *never* remember the spelling on the tag end of your new email addy...) a few
I'm going by the post office as soon as I get to Murfreesboro. Mom finally gave me the money to pay you back for the room, so expect a check and tapes in the mail sometime this week (I think. I'm not sure how long it takes to ship stuff to Minneapolis.). But I promise, promise, promise, promise they're really on their way. My only excuse for my overwhelming lateness thus far is that I am a total procrastinating, lazy chowderhead.
Second, have you thought anymore about that Harry Potter fic we talked about a while ago? (I'm in a Harry Potter phase, so I'm devouring fic like a maniac.) More and more I want to see how it would turn out. I'm even willing to help any way you might want me too. (Which sounds horribly presumptive, and I don't mean it that way.)
